ABSTRACT
Non cardiac chest pain has more than a 50% prevalence in patients who arrive at the emergency room. Cervical angina is an under-diagnosed condition. Its physiopathology has not yet been clearly defined, and it requires a high level of intuition in patients with unexplained chest pain. A precise physical exam with a complete sensory evaluation of painful areas can help the diagnosis and, in this way, avoid unnecessary invasive procedures. Here we present a case report and literature review as a guide to address this condition.
