ABSTRACT
Introduction: the maternal-fetal binomial is a marker of national development. More than 60% of maternal deaths are preventable with adequate prenatal care. Following the Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG), the IMSS developed an evaluation schedule, suggesting compliance with ≥ 80% to be considered adequate. Evaluation is crucial to ensure appropriate prenatal care. Objective: to evaluate the doctor's adherence to the recommendations of the CPG for prenatal care. Material and methods: descriptive, observational, cross-sectional, retrospective study. Pregnant women affiliated with UMF No. 79 aged 19 to 44 years attended in the period January-December 2021 were included. A simple randomized sampling was used, obtaining a sample of 265 from a universe of 837. The identity card was applied. verification to evaluate attachment. Results: an adherence of 69% was identified. The percentages per element evaluated were: alarm signs 98.86%, vital signs 95.84%, uterine fundus measurement 93.58%, folate prescription 92.45%, fetal heart rate 91.69%, obstetric ultrasound 86.79%, Rh group 79.98%, general examination urine 74.33%, dental care 63.01% and risk of postpartum depression 0.37%. Conclusions: the percentage of adherence to the CPG found in our study coincides with that reported in other regions of the country. No item met total attachment, postpartum depression prevention was not carried out, highlighting the need to implement immediate actions to comply with comprehensive prenatal care.REFERENCES
