ABSTRACT

A review of the most common classifications for malocclusion are presented. Angle´s and Ackerman and Proffit, their advantages and disadvantages. The most important aspects are presented for the diagnosis of maloclussions in the anteroposterior, vertical and transversal planes and an easy to fill and practical chart for the diagnosis of maloclussion is suggested.
