ABSTRACT

The exacerbation of desire through imagination, fantasy and sensory stimulation contributes to culture and mental health. Proceedings from book "Eroticism and couple: vicissitudes of desire", dedicated to mental health education. It describes 74 stories from patients interviewed over 49 years. It brings together memories, dreams, and thoughts (Jung), fantasies and realities that are difficult to talk about, even in the privacy of the consultation. Despite its universality, the topic still controversial, includes those who are unaware of it, are ashamed and remain silent. Even those who live it, do not want to talk about it. Only those who accept it, enjoy it. It is described from the art located in the world's museums and classifies five types. "Eroticism in women (Revello), naked or clothed, has a dose of sensuality". Is the aesthetics of sexual desire, sensuality, and romantic love). The psychopathology of those who associate with dissident groups of atypical or divergent, indiscriminate, unprotected sexuality, consumers of psychotropic drugs and comorbidities, is considered. It concludes with recommendations on couple health, as a human essence reflected in the history of art, whose normality favors the healthy integration of personality. Man/woman complementarity does not require supremacy, it shares the integration of well-being and biopsychosocial productivity. Physical-emotional intimacy is a shared "we" (Fromm) with knowledge, care, responsibility and respect that "makes the human being transcend the border of the self and strengthens the emotional intimacy that encourages the development of his potential".
