ABSTRACT
Lisfranc injuries are usually diagnosed through plain radiography. In low-energy trauma, a diastasis between the metatarsal bones M1 and M2 may be observed in weightbearing dorsoplantar X-rays. However, in some cases, no bone separation is evident, which may not correlate with clinical findings. In these situations, magnetic resonance imaging is necessary to confirm the diagnosis of ligamentous injuries. We present the case of a 39-year-old male patient with suspected Lisfranc injury, without diastasis between M1 and M2 on weightbearing X-rays.REFERENCES
