ABSTRACT
A case of Achilles tendon re-rupture in a patient previously
managed conservatively was treated with minimally invasive
surgery. A percutaneous repair was performed using the PARS
(Percutaneous Achilles Repair System) technique with double
calcaneal anchors (Arthrex®), supplemented with synthetic
augmentation (Artelon® band). This approach enabled knotless
suture fixation and secure tendon reinsertion. Recovery was
uneventful, with appropriate healing and progressive functional
improvement. This case report highlights a successful strategy
in the management of a complex Achilles tendon injury,
combining modern technologies to optimize biomechanical
strength and surgical repair reliability of the Achilles tendon.
