ABSTRACT
Post-infectious fatigue is a frequent but underrecognized
condition in outpatient care. It follows infections such as
influenza, SARS-CoV-2, or mononucleosis, presenting with
fatigue, mild dyspnea, sleep disturbance, and cognitive slowing,
without significant clinical findings. This review provides a
practical synthesis of its clinical features, pathophysiology,
diagnostic approach, and management, emphasizing the
internist’s role in therapeutic guidance.
