ABSTRACT

A case is presented of a 54-year-old male with dyspnea and nonproductive cough, who, after an episode of intense coughing, developed burning chest pain and worsening shortness of breath. A computed tomography scan of the chest and abdomen revealed a Morgagni-type diaphragmatic hernia, for which surgical intervention was scheduled. This type of hernia is uncommon in adults and may present with nonspecific or absent symptoms, making diagnosis challenging. Early identification and surgical treatment are essential to prevent complications.
