ABSTRACT

It is reported data obtained from 79 clinical files, selected from the records of 177 children with asthma. Those were divided in two groups, according to the time of evolution of the disease; group A (n = 40) had less than two years, and group B (n = 39) had more than two years. These groups were then divided in subgroups, depending of the treatment: with ketotifeno or another antihistaminic.
It is conclude that the use of ketotifeno in the infantile asthma diminishes the relapse, and could be recommended in treatment of this disease during 3 to 4 months.
