ABSTRACT

This paper tries to be an invitation to visit Xochimilco District, which counts on a magnificent history giving emergence to a wide cultural and entertaining tradition. Its canals and picturesque boats invite tourists to enjoy a wonderful stroll and get amused with its festivities where Xochimilco customs and traditions may be appreciated. These customs have survived in order to enrich our lives, no matter civilization blows.
