ABSTRACT

Congenital epulis is an unusual mouth tumor of infants. It varies in sizes. It may obstruct the airway or interfere with feeding, it has a striking predilection for females. It is most frequently located on the anterior maxillary alveolar ride, as a pedunculated mass. Histologically it is constituted of large cells with granular cytoplasm and spindle cells resembling fibroblasts. Surgical resection is the treatment of choice.
