ABSTRACT
Problem Based Learning, also known as PBL, is a didactic method commonly used in Heath Science Education. The leaders in the application of PBL based programs have been Schools of Medicine. A smaller amount of information exists regarding extent and depth of PBL in Dental Education that it does in Medicine. The purpose of this paper is to present the reader with the principles that support PBL, as well as, the experience from implementing PBL in the School of Dentistry at the Universidad Intercontinental.
