ABSTRACT

We present the experience obtained by the authors with two patients with nasopharyngeal neoplasic injuries involving the infratemporal fossa. Both cases were managed using laterofacial approaches. On the first patient, we used the Fisch D2 preauricular technique, and on the second case a transzygomatic route. Tumours in both patients were completely removed with minimal facial scars, and without any facial paralysis or mastication disturbances.
