ABSTRACT
Segmented osteotomy has been performed during a long time in the anterior or posterior way, with limited indications due to the engagement of the vascular supply and the complexity of the reported techniques. This study describes the surgical technique and the results obtained from an osteotomy of Dr. Miranda’s personal design, called in-arrow osteotomy. This procedure allows movements in the posterior segments and the anterior segment of the maxillary bone in an independent form, improving osseous stability and mobilization, as well as giving an extensive vascular security.
