ABSTRACT

The anti-Dia and anti-Dib antibodies are generally anti-IgG type. They cause hemolysis post-transfusion and hemolytic disease of the newborn from mild to severe. The anti-Diego-b is an antibody rarely found and reported no more than 15 in world literature and the Blood Bank of National Medical Center Century XXI, IMSS, have been detected 4 in the last 10 years. The solution is now presented with new technologies to study the population by molecular biology, for which we have two donors classified Diegob negative controls, and we serve with 154 donors phenotyped Diegoa positive for these we don’t know his Diego-b antigen. Oligonucleotide probes for the polymorphisms of Di1 and Di2 were designed according to the published sequence for human chromosome 17 and the report made by the group of the Institute of Transfusion Medicine Ni Gang Xi Road of China.
