ABSTRACT

Forearme fractures are very frequent in pediatric age, 45% of all fractures in children. It could occur in the shaft of any bone: cubitus, radio or both and when it goes with proximal luxation of the radio is known as Monteggia injury, when the luxation is located distal is known as Galeazzi injury. Their treatment in almost all cases should be closed reduction and immobilization with a cast. When the fracture is exposed or the reduction can´t be carried out with a closed procedure, surgery is indicated.
