ABSTRACT
The case of a 14 years old girl with arachnoiditis,
hydrocephalus and cerebral calcification (cysticercus). She was several times at hospital due to the malfunction of the ventricular valve used for derivation of the
cephalorrhachidian liquid. During the fifth and sixth
admission to the hospital, she developed dehydration, hiponatremia, persistent natriuresis and negative sodium balance. Once were rejected several entities the
differential diagnostic was done between the syndrome of inappropriated secretion of antidiuretic hormone and the cerebral salt wasting syndrome.
