Disseminated granuloma annulare in a patient with type II diabetes mellitus: sucessful treatment with dapsone

Granuloma Annulare is a granulomatous disease of unknown etiology that affects preferentially women. The generalized form of this dermatosis may be associated with systemic disorders immunologic. Some therapies have been tried, including: corticosteroids, ultraviolet-A radiation, systemic retinoids, pentoxifylline, anitimicrobials and dapsone. We report a case of disseminated granuloma annulare, in patient with type II diabetes mellitus, that presenting an excellent clinical response with dapsone.
