Incident of cervical facial infections at the Centenario Hospital Miguel Hidalgo: Review of 276 cases

ABSTRACT
With the present study is tried to know the incident and frequency of the abscesses cervical facials received in the Service of Surgery Maxillofacial in the Gentlemanly Hospital of Aguascalientes’s condition (state) from the year 1997 to the year 2010, as well as his origin, age, sex, more affected facial side and spaces facials involved. A retrospective study was realized, observational and analytical with review of clinical processes, studies of radiographic image and tomography of the patients joined the included (understood) period of July 1997 until July 2010. As result of the study one possesses (relies on) a whole of 276 patients infections cervical facials of which 143 are feminine and 133 masculine, as for the origin 249 were of odontogenic, and 27 of origin not odontogenics; the treatment for this type of affections will be depending on the severity of the same one, being of conservative form with handle only antimicrobial or with surgical complementary treatment; in conclusion, this study provides key and important data on the incident of infectious processes cervical facials in Aguascalientes state it helping with to complement previous and future studies.REFERENCES
