Peripheral giant cell Granuloma: a case report

ABSTRACT

Introduction. The peripheral giant cell Granuloma is an extra bony nodule constituted by the proliferation of multinucleated giant cells with a prominent vasculature that appears on the gum or the alveolar ridge; it is a benign tumor and its etiology is not very well defined. Objetive. To rehabilitate entirely to the patient and by the same token to enrich the Learning-Teaching process sense of the University of Veracruz Dentistry School Campus Xalapa. Case report. A case of a woman of 62, who has a tumor in the right upper jaw four-month history. The tumor was removed by an excisional biopsy and the sample was sent to the pathology laboratory. Conclusion. The correct identification of the pathology allowed to establish an appropriated treatment for this case and to determine a long term prognosis.
