ABSTRACT

The importance of traumatic lesions in our country and its high morbidity is highlighted in this article, stressing the point that prevention not only consists in warning the population of the danger of accidents and its consequences, but is a scientifically proved work area that involves experts of various disciplines, mainly doctors (physicians), nurses, epidemiologists, psychologists, teachers, traffic officers, road engineers and lawyers, among others. From this perspective, we can approach the topic in many ways: engineering, education, legislative, etc. However, success will happen when these measures are implemented in a combined manner and the professionals of each area work as a team.
