ABSTRACT

There are various surgical techniques to correct prominent ears, reestablishing the normal distance between the helix and mastoid region, the main objective. A technique to expose the cartilaginous deformity altogether is described; the first phase consisted of determining the circulatory pattern of the ear of a perichondral cutaneous flap achieved by carrying out dissections in fresh corpses and the second consisted of operating on patients with prominent ears achieving excellent results in all cases.
