ABSTRACT

Introduction: Since 1984 the members of the Fleischner Society has published a glossary in English with appropriate terms to describe the findings of chest radiology. This terminology has been modified on a par with the use of imaging techniques ever better resolution. This article includes brief descriptions in our language and pictorial examples for the most common terms of semiology of the thorax, based on the latest published edition of the glossary Fleischner.
