Chronic suppurative osteomyelitis. A case report

ABSTRACT

Osteomyelitis is an inflammatory disease, usually caused by infection or trauma that affects the tissue bone and surrounding tissues. Suppurative osteomyelitis chronic jaw usually occurs in adults as a result of infection from dental extractions or trauma. In this type of osteomyelitis is severe involvement of the tissues involved taking result in cell death and with the formation of pus, bone and cutaneous fistulas kidnappings. After analyzing the issue of clinical case, the purpose is recommended that when there is a large expanse of affected bone and simple treatment protocols, failure to obtain the total remission of the disease. It is suggested surgical resection and mandibular reconstruction.
