ABSTRACT

In the present study, we analyzed the sexual identity, social stratus, and demographic of people that lived; with AIDS whose are attended in Capasits (Center Ambulatory for prevention and treatment of AIDS and sexual transmitted diseases) of the city of Tepic, Nayarit. This study is very important to prevent and cut the transmission of Aids in our population. Objective: To know the sexual identity, social stratus, and demographic of people that lived; with AIDS whose are attended in CAPASITS (Center Ambulatory for prevention and treatment of AIDS and sexual transmitted diseases) of the city of Tepic, Nayarit, from 1997- 2009. Methods: We conducted a descriptive and transversal study, in CAPASITS (Center Ambulatory for prevention and treatment of AIDS and sexual transmitted diseases) of the city of Tepic, Nayarit. We reviewed 379 medical record of the patient with aids whose come regularly to our clinic. Results: The people between 25 and 44 years old were the most affected. We found a relation 3 to 1 man to woman In the case of the men 45.12% were single and 60.95% were heterosexual, elementary school 40.37 and 74.71 the one s that’s lived in Tepic and the north of the state of Nayarit had more risk. Conclusions: The results of this study show that we need to enforced the prevention, the sexual education, and teach the different preventive methods to reduced AIDS ands sexual transmitted disease, in the people of the state of Nayarit, Mexico.
