ABSTRACT

The close relationship between type 2 diabetes mellitus and obesity has led to the emergence of the term "diabesity", because that convergence is now the twenty firstcentury epidemic. Therefore, it is required to put the medical community and the general population on the alert to this phenomenon, which in addition to being an unsolved problem affects the life quality and expectancy of people, so it is necessary to reduce body weight or prevent its gain as it has been shown that non-pharmacological treatment is the most comprehensive and effective to preserve health.
