ABSTRACT

This paper reports the case of a 10 year-old girl with a mature ovarian cystic teratoma containing cerebellar tissue. The latter was grossly recognized and confirmed with the histologic study, which showed complete cortical cerebellum folia. Although there are reports describing this peculiar finding, this appears to represent the first in which the cerebellum was noticed on gross examination. At the same time the patient is the youngest with an ovarian teratoma containing mature cerebellar tissue.
