ABSTRACT
Pregnancy is a period during which special
attention should be paid on oral hygiene. The
anatomical and physiological changes experienced
by the woman’s body during pregnancy
increases the risk of her developing caries and
periodontal disease, as well as a number of
other conditions.
The present guideline makes several recommendations
for dentists to enable them to employ
and implement suitable prevention and
treatment measures during pregnancy.
