ABSTRACT

Anesthesia awareness or unintended intra-operative awareness is an infrequent but real fact. Because of that it is important knowing its possible causes, identifying its risk factors, recognizing its symptoms, assessing a proper treatment for it but, above all, preventing and minimizing the consequences it may produce.
