ABSTRACT

In the forearm, the anastomosis between the median and the ulnar nerves has been described in different points throughout it, in or below the elbow. This article will describe the four principal anastomosis in the forearm: the Martin-Gruber anastomosis and the Marinacci anastomosis, both in the proximal end of the forearm; the Richie-Cannie anastomosis, in the palm of the hand; and the Berretini anastomosis, which occurs in the palmar surface of the hand.
