The formation of values through the defense of the national identity and other Cuban alternatives

ABSTRACT

The objective of this work is to reflect upon new didactic alternatives and the positive experiences of its application in the formation of values of the young university students of Villa Clara University of Medical Sciences, in complex times. It contains a characterization of the principal circumstances and the last changes in Cuba and the repercussion they have had in the youngsters of the current generation. It states the importance to preserve the historical memory as an element of necessary reference to face any disorientation of the youngsters´ values and to propose different alternatives using methods and styles which cope with the reality and the characteristics of our youth at present, which pedagogically and in a correct intelligent manner contribute to continue the education in values of the future health professionals in Villa Clara.
