ABSTRACT

In the world of disability there are several subjects to be approach and studied, one of the most important subjects to be approach is sexuality, an aspect of development that interacts with thought, emotion and body, with elements like: existential intimacy, human dignity, self-care and prevention. In this advance, where we apply the research-action design, evaluated the results of the first “Sexuality workshop” application with patients of the Centro de Rehabilitación Infantil Teletón Aguascalientes. The sample was of 6 young patients with cerebral palsy, between 16 and 18 years old. The evaluation was done through surveys, review of documents, diaries, and active observation. The results were: give information, promotes responsible sexuality, prevention of abuse and more open communication about sexuality. We also note as an important achievement in the participants a comprehensive and healthy self-perception about their disability, increase in social and autoprotection skills. After this first experience, we will review the contents to upgrade this workshop.
