ABSTRACT

Purpura fulminans is a catastrophic disease characterized by sudden and rapidly spreading hemorr hagic skin lesions, which become confluent and progress to gangrene. The process is associated with extensive intravascular thrombosis at the capillary level. We present a case of purpura fulminans post chemotherapy and sepsis due to Escherichia coli
