ABSTRACT

Post-Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS) is linked to thromboembolic disease, the morbi-mortality is low, but its development depends on the characteristics and precedents of each patient. Is considered that the PTS is originated after a year of an episode of Venous Deep Thrombosis in low members and is characterized by It is occasionally confused post-thrombotic sequelae with Recurrent Deep Venous Thrombosis causing variations in the interpretation of studies and diagnosis determination. The PTS is a late sequel of the Thromboembolic Disease, causes chronic venous insufficiency provoked by venous hypertension, in turn caused by occlusion of the venous system, reflux for injury and valvular incompetence.
