ABSTRACT

An investigation of cross descriptive type was carried out, with the objective to describe the state of the art of the Cubans Medical Magazines certificated by the CITMA, published in the Virtual Library of Health (BVS), relating to the theme of medical education. A documentary review of the Cubans Medical Magazines certificated by the CITMA, available in the entry of the BVS, was carried out. It is observed that the magazines promoted by institutions publish more works of medical education than those that belong to Scientific Societies. It was verified that in general is very reduced the number of publications in the theme of Superior Medical Education, with exception of the Magazine of Superior Medical Education, that is exclusive for these themes. It was indicated the need to expand the space to publish articles that undertake subject matter of this type.
