ABSTRACT

Solitary fibrous tumor is an uncommon neoplasm that usually arises from the pleura; formerly known as localized fibrous mesothelioma, described by Klemperer in 1931. Less than 40 cases of solitary fibrous tumor in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses have been reported in the literature. The tumor was removed by an open coronal approach to the frontal sinus and with an uneventful course without any evidence of recurrence of the disease 18 months after surgery.
