ABSTRACT

Frequently is observed in the street people showing no sense behaviors such as screaming, undress, scavenging, etc. Tend to be severe cases, which show a serious personal and social dysfunction, and a frequently cognitive deterioration. These hard cases get to the mental health services and sometimes discourage the professionals. The objective of this work is to evaluate the effect of a cognitive rehabilitation treatment together a pharmacological treatment in a patient with very low functioning that presents intellectual, cognitive, personal and social damage. In the results emphasize a significant improvement in her attention cognitive achievement, but also there are data that insinuate improvement in the symptomatology and psychosocial functioning.
