ABSTRACT

To handle lower limb angular deformities is necessary to know the normal development of the axes from them and to recognize the abnormal through objective and consensus analysis. This is important to recognize the segments involved in the deformity and therapeutic alternatives basically considering the presence of open physis for choosing different proposed treatment methods. We discuss treatment options with and without open growth plate and method of analysis that allows identified the site of the malalignment and some considerations to take into account at the different treatments feasible to choose.
