ABSTRACT

One of the main functions of the hand is the grasp function, which is essential in both the motor function to manipulate objects as well as the sensitivity and interaction with the environment. In both processes, the flexor the ability of the fingers plays an important role. The injury of the flexor tendons prevents the patient from performing this function and therefore the overall function of the hand is significantly altered.
