ABSTRACT

The posture alterations are frequent in children due to the morphological and functional changes common of this age. In a clinical study, we reviewed 78 children between 4 and 14 years old in Veracruz city. Seventy one per cent had at least one posture alteration of a maximum of 8 founded. Sixty four per cent had changes in the footprint, 29% in shoulders and 25% in the tallus region. Our results differ considerably from other authors who had reviewed similar populations, so we think that the environment and people habits may influence the posture; it will be necessary to continue this studies on population of different geographic zones of the country.
