ABSTRACT

The present investigation was performed in the Service of Pediatric Cardiology, at the National Institute of Cardiology Ignacio Chavez, Mexico City, Mexico. We analyzed the internal equilibrium and found weaknesses that have influence on it. We took as base the Kast and Rosenzweig system model, which consists of an open socio-technical system, formed of other subsystems, such as: objectives, values, technical, psychosocial, structure, and administration. The idea of this research is then to have a general view of the nurse’s perception of the organization of their corresponding services where they work, to compare those perceptions with the ones on the process of continuous improvement, and to find the factors that directly affect the internal equilibrium of the health system, all this to develop a proposal to improve the affected subsystem.
