ABSTRACT

Raising the research competence of students is one of the primary objectives of the Cuban medical education. In this regard, there is still not enough satisfaction at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Medical University in Villa Clara. This fact motivated the authors of this study to reflect on the need to take actions that contribute to the development of research skills in the students of this Faculty, in order to fully prepare them to solve, in a scientific and creative way, through the research dimension, the problems they encounter in their professional performance.
