With the introduction of the Primary Care Physician and Nurse Family model in the National Health System, comprehensive dental care is developed and dentist and family doctors are linked in a health team responsible for the care to the public of a health area geographically defined, where promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation actions are performed, in which children under 18, pregnant women, mothers of children under 1 year old, mentally retarded, physical challenged and adults over 60 years are prioritized.
