Giant bladder lithiasis. Apropos of a patient

ABSTRACT

Urolithiasis affects 1-20% of the general population according to WHO, when located in the urinary bladder is known as bladder stones and constitute hard accumulations of localized mineral at this level. Urinary stasis in the bladder allows the growth of calculations, especially common problem in men and rare in women. It is presented a male patient of 76 years old with a history of having been operated of Prostatic Benign Hyperplasia and vesicular irritative symptoms and heavy feeling in lower abdomen, where giant stone bladder was diagnosed, and subsequently performed an open cystolithotomy.
