ABSTRACT

This document is a retrospective journey of the life odontologic of the culture of the mayan town; from their origins until their little decadence before the arrival from white and bearded men that came from the East. Begin with the idea that the dental pain is as old as the same existence of man, the forms of working and the use of the resources from nature. Continue with a description of the general characteristics of the mayan culture, and on the dentistry action to satisfy the needs of the aching population of the empire; using for this diverse instruments and medicinal plants for the filing, incrustation and dental care.
