Ovary fibroma in a young pregnant woman

ABSTRACT

The case report of a 24 years pregnant woman who went to the emergency room of "Mariana GrajalesCoello" Teaching Gyneco-obstetrical Provincial Hospital from Santiago de Cuba is presented, due to a pain in the low part of the stomach, besides nauseas and constipation. The diagnosis of ovarian fibroma was considered which was definitive after surgical treatment and after pathological study. Later the clinical follow-up through outpatient department was maintained; the patient had a favorable clinical course and she preserved her pregnancy until her son was born -a term healthy newborn- through eutocic childbirth.
