ABSTRACT

Laugier-Hunziker syndrome (LHS) is an infrequent disorder, characterized by brown macular hyperpigmentation as a grayish brown lentiginous macules of about 5 mm, of the lips and oral mucosa. It is a benign entity without systemic manifestations. Recognition of this syndrome is important due to their similarities with other disorders such as the Peutz-Jeghers syndrome. We report a 23-year-old woman with LHS and review the extensive differential diagnosis of oral pigmentation.
