ABSTRACT

Introduction: a transcendent role in overcoming human capital must be played by education; and higher education, in particular, has a strategic position in this order.
Objective: To present new forms of educational organization for the Health Planning Strategies Course in the Master of Primary Health Care.
Methods: A descriptive study was conducted in which theoretical methods were used in order to relate the contents of policy documents with new ways of organizing the teaching-learning process.
Results: Other forms of organization within the educational process were prepared; they update the contents of the program contextualizing the current scenario of Primary Health Care in Cuba. The three themes available in this program and the teaching strategy were improved.
Conclusions: document review and analysis contributed to the development and update of the course program. The literature review enabled the content to be updated according to the current conditions in which health strategies in primary care develop. The study of teaching materials favored that teachers modify methods and teaching aids, as well as ways of organizing the teaching process.
