ABSTRACT

More than 60% of patients infected will be disable o will have problems with their normal activity [9]. Take into account risk factors such as the age, females because this could contribute to a longer duration of symptoms and that patients with preexisting arthralgia and or osteoarthritis will have a higher risk of persisting symptoms [9]. A higher viral load will produce more inflammatory substances in acute stages [2]. Taking into account the posibility of reemerging of this virus and the survival caracteristics prevent the infections and have support to be able to treat it. Infection with this virus will leave a longlife immunity [2]. There is no vaccine for Chikungunya [10].
