ABSTRACT

Introduction: Renal cell cancer is responsible 2.5% of total deaths in Mexico. Management depend on the stage of the disease, with partial nephrectomy for localized lesions. Autotransplant and a nephron-sparing surgery is indicated in susceptible renal neoplastic lesions. Presentation case: A 56-year-old with abdominal pain with two incidentally tumor lesions in the right kidney by ultrasonography. In Urotomography, left kidney has simple multiple cysts and right kidney with two tumor lesions. Due the difficulty in resecting the lesions described, a hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy with autologous through an incision type Gibson, lumpectomy ex vivo and reimplanted in the right iliac fossa, yielding kidney adequate reperfusion was performed Discussion: Partial nephrectomy was determined according to clinical practice guidelines on this type of lesion, and decision of autotransplant, was established by the surgical team based in assessing the risks associated with the location and tumor characteristics Conclusions: Autotransplant is an option in the management of complex renal tumors success chances are increased due the multidisciplinary management.
